
Lawrence Joseph Breitenbach passed on May 13, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on December 26, 1949, in Cincinnati, he was the son of Paul Herman Breitenbach and Anna Marie (Griffith) Breitenbach. He grew up grounded in faith, family, and hard work—values that would define his entire life.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from University of Cincinnati and went on to dedicate his professional career to IBM, where he worked faithfully throughout his entire career. Known for his dependability, integrity, and steady presence, he earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
He also proudly served his country and received an honorable discharge from the United States military.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he faithfully provided for and loved his family. He instilled in his children the importance of faith, grit, perseverance, and hard work. Whether encouraging his children in sports and school activities or serving others through his church and community, he consistently gave his time and energy to those around him. His quiet strength, responsibility, and servant’s heart left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He was a faithful member of Point Church, where he found joy in fellowship and opportunities to serve others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sherilyn Breitenbach of Cary; his sons, Zachary Breitenbach and wife Eva of Avon, and Nathan Breitenbach and wife Marie of Tipp City; his grandchildren, Aidan Heffner and Nora Breitenbach of Tipp City, Ohio, and Paul Breitenbach of Avon, Indiana; his brothers, Paul Breitenbach and wife Joanne of Kearneysville, James Breitenbach and wife Kathy of Harrison, and Gerald Breitenbach of Cincinnati, Ohio; and his sisters, Kathy Breitenbach Winholt and husband Greg of Loveland, and Peggy Breitenbach A’Hearn and husband Dan of Fort Thomas.
He will be remembered as a hardworking and dependable man whose life was marked by faithfulness, generosity, humility, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will continue through the values he passed on and the many lives he touched.
