

Born in PA, she was a daughter of the late Clark and Gertrude Crone. Lois met her husband George (the love of her life) in the summer of 1962. Within a few months they knew ot was true love and were married on October 20, 1962. Lois and George celebrated 58 years of love in 2020. The couple moved from Pennsylvania to New York and finally landed in Oakland, NJ where they have called home for over the last 50 years. In early 2021 Lois’ heath required special care and her and George moved in with their daughter Holly and family.
Lois worked for Engineering Laboratories for 38 years as an Office and Shipping Manager. She was so well versed in her job she could also run product machines as well as be a master inspector.
Lois loved being retired with her beloved husband and traveling all over the USA in their travel camper. They explored so many destinations. Just a few of their favorite destinations were Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Thousand Island NY. Lois and George got to see the 48 states and traveled across Canada. She had a love of crafting, She had done everything from ceramics, knitting, cross stitch and cake decorating and so much more.
Lois was an amazing mother who was extremely active in her children's and grand children's lives. She was a Den mother for her boys in the boy scouts, Den Mother for her daughter’s girl scouts, cheered them on in little league baseball, and was always the first stand ovation for her daughter's dance recitals. Lois also enjoyed being active in her daughter's Dance school. She did alterations of costumes as well as helped craft back drops for performances. Lois was always present at all their activities with school and went above and beyond to make life fun. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities. She was such a proud Grandma and always had photos of them ready to share with everyone.
In her spare time she also enjoy her flower gardens, going for scenic rides, visiting family. Lois loved her dogs & cats. She also helped rehabilitate baby Raccoons. She was a true lover of animals.
Lois was a kind, generous and gentle soul. She loved her family very much and worked hard at creating special times with them. Lois adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them and going on vacations with them. Their favorite pastime was baking with them and sharing a popsicles with them sitting outside on a beautiful day. Lois made her home open to all the neighborhood kids back in the day, she looked out for everyone and always made sure popsicles were readily available.
Survivors include her daughter, Holly Kelling and her husband, Kevin; sons, Todd Strohl and his wife, Joyce, Mark Strohl and his wife, Jodi; Grandchildren, Courtney, Brittney, David, Dillon, Emily and Kyle.
