Marcia Janine Elander

On June 25th, 1944, Marcia was born to Eugene Patrick Rosinski and Janina Alfreda (Malyn) Rosinski in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Marcia graduated from Lawrence High School in 1961 and Katharine Gibbs School in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1963 with a Secretarial degree. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Frank Edward Elander, Jr., who went home to be with the Lord in 2015. They lived in their home in North Andover, Massachusetts, for 40 years before following their daughter and grandsons down to North Carolina. Marcia worked as a paralegal for many years and retired when she became a grandmother in 2009.

Marcia's unwavering faith in the Lord, selfless generosity, and wise counsel left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her vibrant zest for life, tenacious spirit, sharp wit and infectious laughter were endeared by all. She loved Bible studies, decorating, gardening, baking and hosting friends and family in her home.However, she found the most joy in spending cherished time with her late husband, Frank, her daughter, Katy, and her grandsons, Aden and Bryton.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marcia was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene C. Rosinski, sister-in-law, Patricia M. Austin, and brother-in-law, Richard D. Elander.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Elander Samuel and her fiancé, Brian James Sachs, grandsons, Aden Jesse Samuel and Bryton Elander Samuel, her sister, Maryanna Grinovich, husband, Edward, sister-in-law, Nancy Elander, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral service on July 27th at 11:00am at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, NC. Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park in Cary, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Triangle Community Church of Apex, NC (www.tcc.org).
