Margaret Elliott Curl

Our mother, Margaret Elliott Curl, passed away peacefully at Rex Rehab of Apex on October 26, 2018. She was born on June 12, 1933 in Berea, NC to Fred and Beulah Elliott. She was blessed with a wonderful husband, James Perry Curl and three loving, supportive children.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Renee Riggs (Buddy) of Raleigh, Kevin Curl (Diana) of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Karen Brendle (David) of Greensboro. Margaret is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses; Harrison Riggs (Carlee), Ashton Riggs, Kevin Curl Jr. (Sara), Tiffany, Seth Brendle, Salem Marso (Matt), Savannah Brendle. She is survived by two great grandchildren; Casey and Teagan Curl, one sister, Mary Alice Elliott, two nieces, Nicole Connor, and Sharon Crawford (Misty) one great nephew, Zander Crawford, and many cousins.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband James Perry Curl and sister, Sandra Connor.

After graduating from Berea High School, Margaret attended Fuller’s School of Stenography, and went on to work 41 years as an administrative secretary with the State Board of Education, Division of School Bus Transportation.

The family wishes to give a heartfelt thank you to Greenwood Forest Baptist church, the staff at Rex Rehabilitation of Apex, and Transitions LifeCare for their respectful and loving care of our mother.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Raleigh Memorial Park Mausoleum, 7501Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rex Rehab of Apex to the Activities Department, 911 Hughes Street, Apex, NC 27502, and Transitions LifeCare 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
