Margareta is my Best friend's Mother. I stayed with her 7 years ago. I found her to be vivacious and full of energy. She was very kind to me. But her daughter whom she born has incredible character, strength and intelligence and the list goes on and on. Which tells me the Apple does not far from the tree. I send my sincere condolences to the entire family. Margareta your beauty and kindness will be missed my many. Much love.

I have been Margareta's neighbor for 18+ years. I loved seeing her in her yard. I marveled at the time & effort she put into it. It was always beautiful, as was she! She always waved & had a smile on her face, & was always impeccably dressed. I enjoyed getting to know her at neighborhood events. One Christmas party in particular comes to mind. She & I spent most of the night chatting about different things - - - our lives & interests. She was truly a beautiful soul. I already miss seeing her & can't help but picture her working in her yard on these beautiful days. My condolences to the family. May her memory be eternal.

As Margareta's older brother, I can say she did things her way. I knew Ree as a hard worker, go getter, caring loving sister and mother.

To the family, make sure to think of happy thoughts and go your way to make other people happy. Also maintain unshakeable confidence and enthusiasm for those around you and yourself. Ree would have wanted that.

I spoke several times to Ree from January through September of this year. I reflect on our messages and conversations and will hold them close to my heart.

This celebration was not planned but everything has already been decided as it was known long ago what each person’s path with destiny are. The bible tells us that.

Rest in peace my dear sister, you will be missed.

Margareta, or as our kids called her when they were young, “Mah-gah-eet”, was a wonderful neighbor and a beautiful soul. Over the last 20 years we often spoke while out tending our adjoining yards (hers always being beautifully arranged and well cared for). I also had the pleasure of watching her interact with her grandchildren, who were frequently at her house and who loved playing on the back deck of her house, in the yard, and around the cul-de-sac. You could tell she was a teacher—she had that tone in her voice that was kind but commanded respect, especially when she talked with our children. One day as my son was about to leave for college, Margareta called him over to her yard using her “teacher voice”. He was scared and thought he was in trouble until she handed him an envelope with money in it and gave him some advice for success. I keep expecting to hear her when I’m out in my yard, telling her yard man that he missed a spot over here or there, or rustling around in the garden trying to find the perfect spot for one of her plants. Rest well, dear neighbor.

Mrs. Harris was the mother of my good friend, Angela, and for that reason I mourn her passing deeply. Angela spoke so highly of her and inherited her beauty and style. I know her family will miss her deeply.

I am a member of White Oak Missionary Baptist Church. I didn't know Ms. Margareta very well; however, I became very fond of her and embraced her as she began to visit our church. She was such a "classy" lady. I looked forward to seeing her join us on Sunday mornings. Her presence will certainly be missed. My prayers are with the family.
