

Mary Jacqueline Maguire age 69, died August 31, 2017. Born in Greensburg, PA, she later moved to Cleveland, OH where she graduated from Collinwood High School. Soon thereafter she married William Ray Maguire and moved to Mississippi. About a year later the couple moved to Fayetteville, NC where Jacqueline graduated from Methodist College. She began work as a social worker in some of the more economically distressed areas of the city. Eventually Jacqueline would move to Detroit, MI where she attended the University of Michigan and received her Master of Social Work degree. Upon moving to Cary, NC Jackie started work at a kidney clinic where she was able to put her passion of social work into practice. Eventually she had two children and continued to pursue various other hobbies including gardening and interior decorating. She would work for Resurrection Lutheran Church as well as Wake County Public School system as a substitute teacher. She took an interest in the church as well as crime mysteries and classic movies.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, William “Bill” Maguire, two sons Christopher “Chris” Maguire and Sean Maguire, six sisters and one brother.
A memorial service will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 100 W Lochmere Dr, Cary, NC 27518 on Saturday September 9th, 2017 at 2:00pm.
