

Meryle Dillinger Fincher: left us on February 6th, 2018 at the age of 96. Born May 10, 1921 in Port Arthur, Texas to Mary (Minor) and James S. Dillinger. Proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin in 1943. Married 61 years to Ernest H. Fincher (d: 2004) on June 21 ,1943, moving to Washington state to work on Grand Coulee Dam, then Gardena, California where she was able to watch the Spruce Goose roll down Crenshaw Ave, before returning to her home state of Texas. Loving mother to Judith F. Baskin (Elba (Bud) Baskin), Marylyn F Hodges (Phillip F. Hodges), James E. Fincher (Kathy A. Fincher), Bettylynne F. Gregg (James M. Gregg) and Donald R. Fincher (Marcie M. Fincher). Granny to 9 grandchildren: Brian C. Baskin (Lara L. Baskin), Karen M. Hodges, Linda D. Hodges Barcelo (David Barcelo), Margaret K. Fincher Hunter (Jonathan Hunter), Kelley L. Fincher Dinghin (Jean-Marc Dinghin), John R. Gregg (Catherine C. Gregg), Julie N. Gregg, Coleman D. Fincher, Alexandra S. Fincher. Great-Granny to 9 wonderful children: Hunter J. Baskin, Emma R. Baskin, Gabriella M. Barcelo, Anya O. Barcelo, Patrick D. Hunter, Molly G. Hunter, William (Liam) J. Hunter, Delphine L. Dinghin, Adelynne J. Gregg. She loved her 15 years of teaching 4 year olds at University Christian Church Weekday School in Fort Worth, Texas. The Family would like to thank the staff of caring people at Woodland Terrace and at Querencia for their support for our Mom for the past several years.
