Patrick Timothy Macey

Patrick, A.K.A Hoser # 1, was born October 14, 1986 to John and Mary Macey in Albany, NY, but resided in Cary, NC for twenty-three years. He attended East Cary Middle School, Cary High School, and spent much of his time cultivating both his hobbies and his friendships.

Patrick loved running, skateboarding, playing the guitar, camping, hiking, trips to the beach and fishing. An avid sports fan, he followed hockey and football, his favorite teams being the Carolina Hurricanes and the Washington Redskins. He loved cooking and, for a time, worked at the popular Cary pizzeria, The Loop. He also enjoyed his employment with Rotech Healthcare.

Patrick never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. In life, Patrick was filled with love and laughter and he treasured his relationship with his family and his many close friends. He’ll be remembered as a loving son, brother, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his aunts, Sue Funicello, Suzanne Gillman, and Stephanie Carruthers; as well as his grandparents.

He is survived by his parents, John and Mary Macey; his sister Barbara Anne Macey; his aunt Cynthia Macey; his cousins Hannah Rios, Timothy Rios, Anna Cooper, Eric Funicello and Joshua Gillman; and his beloved dog Pogue.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on 200 SE Maynard rd., Cary, NC 27511 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any worthwhile organization in Patrick’s memory.
