Pierina Maria Flora Repola

Pierina Repola (D’Aloisio) of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, passed from this life onto her next on Sunday, October 1, 2023 after a brief hospital and hospice stay in Raleigh. Pat, as she liked to be called, was 96.

She was born on April 3, 1927 to Amelio and Erminia D’Aloisio (Pomponio) in Italy. She came to the United States with her mother and sister at the age of 10. She was married to Aldo Repola in 1951, and they resided in Mount Vernon, the Bronx, and Stormville, New York until they relocated to North Carolina in 1995.

She is predeceased by her husband, Aldo Repola (2003), her grandson, Nicholas Carletto (2007), and her sister, Jennie Nieto (2016), as well as her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Andrea Repola Braffman (married to Bruce Braffman) of Hollywood, FL and Gina Carletto (married to Anthony Carletto) of Fuquay Varina, NC. She has two grandchildren, Kristin Carletto Davis (married to Bryan Davis) of Holly Springs, NC and Nathaniel Repola Braffman of Somerville, MA. She also has two great granddaughters, Brooklyn Marie Davis (10) and Charlotte Olivia Davis (8). She was also a loving Nonna to her great grandchildren and granddog, Cash.

Pat was a wonderful friend to many, many people who will undoubtedly feel her loss. Although she didn’t travel much in her last years, she kept in touch with her friends and family by phone often. For many years, she was active in the Triangle Italian American Women’s Club of Cary where she met many good friends. Her favorite color was blue and there wasn’t a cookie or cake she didn’t like.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at St. Andrews the Apostle Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh Road, Apex, NC 27502. The family will received friends from 10-11 am prior to the service time at the church.

For anyone wishing to memorialize Pat, a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital is suggested as it was her favorite charity.
