

Priscilla A. “Pat” Briggs, 97, of Cary died peacefully on July 21st 2024. Born August 20, 1926 in Keene, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of Harry and Nellie (Farr) Rowe. Pat grew up in Plymouth, Massachusetts. She married Henry Briggs on June 17, 1951 and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. The couple resided there until 1969 when they moved to Bloomington, Indiana. Pat moved to North Carolina in 2017 to be close to family.
Music was always a big part of her life. Pat and Henry both sang in the church choir where Pat was an accomplished soloist. In her later years she started a bell choir which she continued to direct well past the age of 90.
Much of her time and energy went to local charity work which included a church group for local college students in Bloomington.
Pat enjoyed travelling and had friends all across the United States and Europe who always welcomed her visits. She studied music for two years while in Massachusetts and received a B.S. in German from Indiana University in 1976.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen “Kathy” Aldenderfer of Woodstock, Georgia, and Ann Briggs (Dale) of Loveland, Colo., one son, Robert “Bob” (Nancy) Briggs of Apex, North Carolina, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and son-in-law (Charles Aldenderfer).
