

Robert was born on August 31, 1949, in Brentwood, England to Robert Davidson Sr. and Rose Davidson. He and his parents immigrated to Canada and later to the United States. He proudly became an American citizen in Atlanta, Georgia on June 30, 1965 - the same day as his father.
Before moving to Cary, NC, he was a resident of High Point, NC, for nearly 25 years. For most of his life, Robert worked in the railroad industry, and, until his passing, was currently employed with Road and Rail Services, Inc., where he was the Director of Business Development.
For close to 20 years, Robert was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, where he was a dedicated Sunday school teacher, and a member of several committees. At the time of his passing, he and Teresa were currently attending Oak Hill Friends Meeting in High Point.
Robert married Teresa Loflin, his high school sweetheart, on June 1, 1968. Theirs was a love that spanned 47 years, 5 states, and 18 homes. Robert found true happiness just being with his family. His faith in Christ was apparent to all those who knew and loved him.
His untimely passing has been survived by both of his parents and step-mother, Edith Carroll Davidson. He is also survived by his wife, Teresa. In addition, Robert is survived by his two daughters, Ms. Nicole Kimble of Cary, NC, and Mrs. Natalie Mann and her husband, Wayne, of Raleigh, NC; brother-in-law, Mr. Steve Loflin and his wife, Pat; sister-in-law, Mrs. Pam Crandall and her husband, Tony; sister-in-law, Mrs. Susie Monroe and her husband, Rusty; and special aunt, Ms. Martha Ann Loflin. He was a dearly loved “Papa” to his four grandchildren: Cooper and Laney Kimble and Greyson and Liam Mann. He is also survived by several loving nephews and a niece: Mr. Scott Thrift, Mr. Steven Loflin, Mr. Matthew Loflin, Mr. Clayton Monroe, and Mr. Tyler Monroe, and Mrs. Cayce Gordon.
The family will receive visitors at Sechrest Funeral Home, 1301 E. Lexington Ave., High Point, NC, on Friday, September 11, between 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor John Sides at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12th, at the Oak Hill Friends Meeting, 2001 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC.
