Robert Raymond Rose

Robert is survived by his 4 daughters, Amy (Glenn) True of Lucama, NC; Betsy (Ron) Lamay of Conway, SC; Kiki (James) Gill of Collegeville, PA; Ellie (Greg) Archer of Cary, NC; his sister Patricia Cohen of Jacksonville, FL; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Robert was pre-deceased by his wife of 60 years, Josephine F Rose, who died March 24, 2016.

Robert was born on June 11, 1928 in Franklin, PA; son of Mary Catherine and Douglas M Rose. After serving in the Korean War, Robert worked for Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY as a Chemical Engineer, where he retired in 1986.

Robert loved music, playing and writing several songs for his wife Josephine, writing poetry, the beach, the Finger Lakes in NY, the New York Mets, walking, working on his flower gardens, and of course his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robert and his wife Josephine served for several years as youth leaders for the Ogden Baptist Church youth group in Ogden, NY.

There will be no services for Robert R Rose. Any donations may be made to the family, c/o: Mrs. Mary Ella Archer,2206 Rocky Bay Court, Cary, NC 27519. All donations will go to a rose garden in Roberts name at Transitions LifeCare Center.
