Rollo was born June 20, 1931 in Kenly, NC. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. Rollo was employed with the State of North Carolina General Services Administration retiring with over 30 years of service. In retirement, he founded Rollo Ballance Electrical Service. He was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Raleigh.
Rollo is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Boykin Ballance; sons, Mark Anthony Ballance and his wife, Pamela of Genoa, WV; Chris Ballance and his wife, Tracey of Willow Spring; daughters, Cynthia Allen of Cary; and Karen Denise Brownell and her husband, Everett of Garner.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, October 2, 2012 Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
