Shirley Anne Kennedy

Shirley was born on March 10, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee to John and Hilda Ward. She is survived by her siblings Jack (the late Christina) Ward, Jeanette (the late Jerry) Sherman, and Bob (the late Louise) Ward. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister,Carolyn (the late Buddy) Leake.

Shirley greatly enjoyed spending time with and serving her church family at Covenant Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her cat Snickers. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and friend.

She is the proud mother of five children, Kathleen (Kurt) Andreasen, Elizabeth (Roger) Kennedy-Trudeau, Christina (Tom) Zorn, Patrick Kennedy, and Lindsay Kennedy. She is the grandmother to Joshua (Tara) Andreasen, Brandon (Paige) Andreasen, Kathryn Trudeau, Alexandra Zorn, Riley Kennedy, John Kennedy, Jacob Kennedy, Sean Kennedy, and Ryder Anderson.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to Dorcas Ministries 187 High House Road, Cary, NC 27511, or Covenant Christian Church 2911 SW Cary Pkwy, Cary, NC 27513.

Viewing and services will be held on Saturday May 27, 2023, at Covenant Christian Church 2911 SW Cary Pkwy, Cary, NC 27513 beginning with a 1:00 PM visitation, 2:00 PM service followed by a reception. The 2:00 PM service will be live streamed at Join our Cloud HD Video Meeting
