Sue Beverly Vickers Webster of Cary, NC passed away on December 23, 2018 at the age of 83 surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born on October 28, 1935 in Stamping Ground, KY. She spent her childhood growing up on her family’s farm in Scott County, KY and she graduated from Stamping Ground High School in 1953.
Sue is the wife of Billy H. Webster. Sue and Bill moved to Cary with their 3 children in 1969 and they have resided there ever since. After working for both Avon and Hickory Farms, she retired from Bank of America after over 25 years of service. Sue was an avid bridge player and enjoyed the company of many friends and family. She remained very active and dedicated her time to various community and church organizations throughout her life.
Sue is survived by her husband of 64 years, Billy H. Webster; daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Jamie Markus of Garner, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Kelly Webster of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Tara Peebles, Jason Dye, Bradley Webster, Ashlin Webster, and Natalie Webster; and great grandchildren, Liam Peebles, Sydney Peebles, Madelyn Dye, Caleb Dye and Keira Dye.
Sue is the daughter of Paul Beverly Vickers and Sue Elizabeth Vickers. Sue is preceded in death by her brother, John C. Vickers of Stamping Ground, KY; her sister, Julia May Robertson of Georgetown, KY; and her son, Bruce Vickers Webster.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Friday, December 28th at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC with a reception immediately following the service.
