Sylvia Delores Riddle Parks

Sylvia Delores Riddle Parks, "Tootsie",went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2024. She was born to the late, William Franklin "Red" Riddle and Estelle Branch Riddle on December 22, 1937 in Kannapolis, NC.

She graduated from AL Brown and attended Wingate College. Tootsie married her high school sweetheart, Mickey Parks and they lived in several places during their marriage, Germany, Charlotte, Orlando, Raleigh and finally settling in Cary. They owned Mickey Parks Insurance for many years in Cary.

In addition to her parents Tootsie was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce, Jody, and Sonya.

Tootsie is survived by daughters, Angela Parks Hatchell (Jim) of Raleigh, Michelle Parks of Atlanta, GA; grandsons, Griffin Parks Hatchell (Presti) of Wake Forest and Chandler Weston Hatchell (Rachel) of Raleigh, NC; great grandchildren; and nephew, Derek Caldwell.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Millbrook Baptist Church, 1519 E Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. The family will receive friends and loved ones at 12:00-12:30 PM prior to the memorial service as well as following.
