Terry was deeply loved by all of us. He was a faithful servant, a true encourager, and the very definition of a modern-day Barnabus; always uplifting others with his words and Christ like spirit. His absence will be deeply felt, but his impact and legacy will remain in our hearts.
His kids added:
He was a movie enthusiast and snack master, the strongest man we know, Mr. Fix-It, everyone’s entertainment, and the one we always went to when we needed a Bible answer—he never failed to respond with quiet wisdom and strength.
An amazing Dad and Papaw. Terry was always a stronghold in the family. He led with passion and love. We will always remember his strong faith and we will take it with us throughout our lives. From the lawn mower rides to wheelchair races, Papaw was always up for a good time with his family. We are so thankful for all the trips. Visits, memories, made over all the years.
His beloved wife shared:
At 0310 on 7/31/25 the world lost a great man, husband, friend, father and grandfather. He was a patriot and like his fathers and grandfathers before him he stood up for what is right, just and fair for all, but above all he was godly. He put his trust in God first. Not many people in my life could be silly, serious, mechanical, computer literate, encouraging and godly at the same time. Today he is free from the bondage that ALS brought to our life. I was his buddy and wife, and he was my Buddy and husband for nearly 45 years.
Thank you for being present today with us like he tried to be for you in every capacity and role of his life.
