Captain Theodore R. Newell Jr.

Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Elizabeth, sons David (Victoria) of Morrisville, North Carolina and Donald (Karen) of St. Charles, Missouri. Four grandsons, Alexander, currently serving in Iraq, Bradley, Clayton and Joshua. Brothers Thomas (Glenda) and Robert (Kathy) both from Ohio, and 5 nieces and nephew.

Proceeded in death by his parents, Theodore Richard, Sr. and Francis V. Newell, his brother Harry, and a nephew, William.

Captain Newell served in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had a 31-year career as a commercial pilot with Ozark and TWA Airlines. He was also a member of the Gateway Rotary and the Retired Officers Club in Sarasota, Florida, as well as a member of the Masonic Order and Shrine.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4th,, with services immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 100 West Lochmere Drive, Cary, North Carolina. Pastor Michael Merker will preside.
