William (Bill) Charles Brown, 90, died peacefully Sunday, July 18, 2010. He was born February 13, 1920 in Leckie, W VA to the late William and Tamsie (Browning) Brown. Bill was a veteran (US Army) of WWII and was employed as an electronics engineer at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH for 35 years. He was also a graduate of Ohio State University.
Bill is survived by three children, Doug Brown (Hope) of Cary, NC, Diane Huneycutt of Apex, NC, Cheryl Brainard (Jack)of Centerville, OH; sister, Shirley Scholl of Centerville, OH; 4 grandchildren, Eric Brown, Angie Grevey(Norm), Kristen Leith and Taylor Huneycutt; 3 great-grandchildren, Connor, Catie and Chase Grevey.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Brown and 11 siblings.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 21 at Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church in Cary. Inurnment will be in Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
