

Mr. Cagle was born on October 14, 1926 in Davidson County to Harvey Lee Cagle and Mamie Lee Hill Cagle. He served in the US Navy during World War II. For many years, he taught upholstery at Guilford Technical Community College. He enjoyed reading his Bible, traveling abroad and piloting his single-engine plane as well as playing Santa Claus for his grand-daughters. Kind-hearted and generous, Mr. Cagle was always ready to help anyone in need; he helped many refugees settle in Greensboro and High Point.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie Franklin Cagle in Korea in 1951, Richard Harvey Cagle Sr. in 1998, and Lacy Carlton Cagle in 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Leha Le Cagle, his step-son Thang Tran of Germany, his step-daughters Emily Rierson, Binh-Minh Ribler, and Tuyet Huynh, his nephew Richard Cagle and his sister-in-law Zondal Cagle.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home from 12 noon to 2pm prior to the funeral services.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday December 26, 2011 at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary by Pastor Mitchell Gregory Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park, 7002 Green Hope School Rd, Cary, NC 27519.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
