She is survived by her daughter Nicole Carlisle, of Arizona, her grandchildren Marie Lindsey of NC, Zoe Williams of NM and Leonard Hull of NM. Her great grandchildren Nickoli, Lyra and Alexis Lindsey of NC
She was preceded in death by her parents Leon and Marie Pontzer of Ridgeway PA, her brother Yhomas Pontzer of Ridegway PA her husband Robert (Bob) Carlisle of Arizona City Az, and her long time life companion Duane Dauner of Arizona City AZ.
Mary Jo moves to Arizona to pursue her teaching career. She taught ay multiple Casa Grande district elementary schools with the longest being Palo Verde. After retirement, she stayed active volunteering at the Arizona Visitor Center in Eloy and the Moose Lodge in Arizona City. She was also an avid supporter of the Humane Society of Casa Grande. She will be dearly missed.
