Brett never met a stranger—he could talk to anyone, anywhere, and always had a smile to share. He was known for his warm personality and his gift of making people feel welcome. Above all, his family was his greatest joy. He was a devoted husband to Sue, his wife of 43 years, a proud father to Steve (Cassie), and the adoring grandfather of Kyrian (7) and Kira (4), who were the light of his life.
Brett will be cremated and later buried at sea in early 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025, from 1–3 p.m. at The Magic Manor, 5450 Manhart St, Sedalia, CO 80135, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in Brett’s memory.
Brett will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his love, laughter, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
