

He was a 1963 graduate of Ada High School before joining the United States Air Force in 1964 where he served 22 years. Cliff served in Thailand as an interpreter between base generals and the Thai government along with teaching English at the American School in Udorn, Thailand. Upon returning to the United States, he served as an Air Traffic Controller. He was instrumental in developing protocol for landing air craft at 1 mile intervals while serving at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. He retired from the AF as the Reese AFB, ATC Tower Chief in 1987. He then worked for the FAA as an Air Traffic Control Specialist at various airports. He then retired again to pursue his life long dream of being an auctioneer and buying and selling “junk”. The Castle Rock Picker, as he was known, was known for his ability to help others and make a fair deal for everyone. Cliff never met a stranger and was loved by all.
Cliff is survived by Mary Beth, his wife of 42 years, his sons David of Ada, OK, Travis Kennedy of Castle Rock, CO, his daughter Tammi Drapeau of Tecumseh, KS, was well as 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and his sister Linda Dunham of Houston, Tx.
Cliff never met a stranger and is missed dearly by all.
