

Colette Tipton-Engeman, née Colette Rose Bertone, born February 17, 1940 in Philippeville Algeria to Louis and Andree Bertone. Passed away on December 9, 2022. Colette is survived by her brother Pierre Bertone (Aline) and her sister Paule Moons (Bill).
Colette has 2 sons, Rodney Bertone (Kenna) and Barry Tipton (Laura), 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Long (Philip), Brittany Elmer (John), Kelanie Ostermiller (Ethan), Kennadi Tipton-Pack (Jerry), Pierce Tipton, Teagan Tipton, Cooper Tipton, and Carson Tipton; and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Colette moved to France with her family at the end of WWII and lived in France until October 2, 1962.
Married Eugene Warner in 1962, Married Frank Tipton in 1980 (Deceased), and Married Leroy Kenneth Engeman in 2001 (Deceased).
Colette had an intense love for animals, jewelry, knitting and food. When she walked in a room, happiness and good humor walked in with her.
She spent a few years teaching handicapped children, then worked for the genealogy department in Salt Lake City, taught French at a private school while raising her 2 boys, then moved to Colorado before going back to work in sales. Colette was an owner of Tipton Jewelers, and Barry’s Jewelry and was successful at anything she did. From sewing or knitting to finding or designing the right piece of jewelry for each customer, she always put her special touch in everything she did.
Colette is loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all.
