Donald Marvin Clyburn

Don spent his childhood working on the family farm. He graduated from Nevada High School in Missouri and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Don was united in marriage to Billie Northcutt Brumbelow on May 14, 1960. They recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary.

Don enjoyed a 17 year career at Boeing where he worked in both Seattle, Washington and Wichita, Kansas after which he worked as a Ranch Manager for Eby Construction Company at Ecco Ranch in Yates Center, Kansas for 21 years. Don retired to Wichita, Kansas in 1992.

Don was entered into the Masons 72 years ago on December 7, 1948 at the Memphis Lodge #108 in Garland, Kansas and was raised to a Master Mason on February 2, 1949. He was also initiated into the Scottish Rite on November 9, 1995. Don loved riding horses and working cattle on the ranch, was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his brothers Earl and Joe Clyburn and his sister Marjorie Martin. Don is survived by his wife Billie, two daughters: Shirley Schick and husband Ron of Seattle and Tammy Yarnell and husband Tim of Castle Rock; his sister, Mary Bailey of Ft. Scott; four grandchildren: Shari Roberts and husband Philip, Staci Braun and husband Chris, Jason Yarnell, Zach Yarnell and wife Karli; five great grandchildren: Kayla Sorrell and husband Justin, McKenna Roberts and Eli, Kaiden and Billie Braun; and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Castle Rock, Colorado.
