Donald Anthony Heacock was born June 8, 1964 to Max and Kay Heacock in Englewood, Colorado. He was baptized in the Catholic Church as an infant. Don attended school, grades K - 4 in Englewood. The family moved to Castle Rock in 1974 and Don finished elementary, junior high and high school in the Douglas County Schools. Don moved back to Castle Rock after his marriage to Lauren Ballard. His daughter, Mikeely Elizabeth was born March 25, 1997. Don always felt that Mikeely was the best thing he ever did and she was the light of his life. Don lived life to the fullest. He loved fast, powerful trucks and snowmobiles and he loved his horses. He was rarely seen without his western hat and cowboy boots on.
Don became a resident of Brookside Inn, Castle Rock, in January 2014 when the progression of the Huntington's Disease made it impossible for him to live independently. He left this life on June 20, 2018 in their loving care surrounded by family and friends.
Don will always be remembered for his sharp, quick wit and great sense of humor. We miss him so much, but Praise God that he has been released form the grip of his dreadful disease. We love you Don !
