Elizabeth lived the past 27 years in Colorado. She married her best friend Bryan Bjorlow on May 15, 1999, and they were happily married for almost 23 years. The two met in nursing school where they found a shared passion for helping others and supported each other in reaching their aspiration of becoming nurses. Bryan was the love of her life. They enjoyed taking care of their dogs, listening to music, and cooking together throughout the years. In recent years, Elizabeth found pleasure in gardening and often used home grown produce in her recipes. Elizabeth had a generous heart. Without fail, Elizabeth was there when her family needed her as evidenced by her caring for her brother-in-law, Chris Bjorlow, who required full-time home care. This experience inspired Elizabeth to use her organizational skills in combination with her healthcare knowledge to start her own business providing acute care nursing in the home setting.
Elizabeth was the first grandchild of Thomas and Juanita Torres’ forty-five grandchildren and the first niece of her mother’s fourteen siblings. She was a beloved member of the Torres Family. Elizabeth was always ready to host family gatherings and celebrations in Texas and Colorado. She loved ensuring her family was having fun. Whether taking the family to amusement parks, going to the beach, or just playing cards, Elizabeth loved bringing joy to all. It was the delight of Elizabeth’s life to be a wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Elizabeth has earned her wings and is singing with her beautiful voice in heaven.
