Erika Schmidt Felton

On January 16, 1979 she married the love of her life, John Felton and they started their family. Erika was strong-willed and considered a force to be reckoned with. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother and grandmother. Her family gave her the nickname "The Godfather" because if you did not mess with her family or get in her way.

Erika worked in real estate for Blue Ribbon Brokers and after she retired she ran a bookstore. Her favorite past times were reading and her grandchildren. She enjoyed sci-fi books or romance mysteries by Julie Garwood. When she was with the grandkids they were either stopping at every garage sale looking for a hidden treasure or working in her garden.

She is survived by her husband, John Felton; children: Heike Lauer, Silka Lauer and spouse Travis, Andrea Felton and spouse Chris, Volker Lauer and spouse Martina, Angela DeLeon and spouse Eligio; grandchildren: Justin Pennetta, Nick Threlkeld, Alex DeLeon, Dakota DeLeon, Haley Smith, Cody Smith, Jillian Crump, Logan Crump, Riley Ringler, Regan Ringler; great-grandchild Archer Pennetta; siblings: Petra Romann and Elke Biller.
