Forrest spent his childhood and adolescence in Versailles, Missouri and loved to play baseball. Forrest was always an avid sports fan, especially of the St. Louis Cardinals. After high school, Forrest attended Central Missouri University where he played baseball and studied business. He graduated with a degree in business in 1963. After college, Forrest served in the Army. He married Carolyn McLennan in his hometown of Versailles, Missouri in 1966.
Forrest and Carolyn happily welcomed two children into their family, Jeff and Jamie. Their children filled their lives and hearts. The family lived in Redding, California where Forrest worked for the Forest Service and was a Smoke Jumper. The time spent in Redding was exciting and one of the most warmly remembered times in Forrest’s life.
Upon leaving Redding, California their family lived in Garland, Texas and Littleton, Colorado. After Forrest’s retirement as an Assistant Regional Administrator for the Department of Agriculture they moved to beautiful Grand Lake, Colorado where he enjoyed spending time on the golf course. In his later years, they moved to Lone Tree, Colorado and then to Castle Rock, Colorado.
Forrest was predeceased by his parents Reed and Henrietta Moore. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, his two children Jeff Moore and Jamie (Louis) Cripps, his grandson, Juan Carlos Moore, and his sister, Kay (Dale) Harris.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.OlingerAndrews.com for the Moore family.
