Jane Theresa Coover

Jane attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Shawnee, Kansas, and Shawnee Mission North High School in Mission, Kansas. She often spoke fondly of her two years of college at St. Mary's of Notre Dame in Indiana, Indianapolis.

She was married to William H. Coover III on June 19, 1954. They had just passed their Golden Anniversary in 2004 when Bill passed away later that year.

Jane had a career as the first female manager for insurance adjusting with Farmer's Insurance in Mission, Kansas lasting 40 years. She had a passion for doll collecting, flower gardening, cross stitch, and book club. She was also the proud dog mom to Shadow for 17 years who passed in 2022.

She was passionate about helping others in need and supposed many worthy causes like the Wounded Warrior Project, Catholic Charities, the Heart Association, Denver Dumb Friends League, Republican National Committee, American Cancer Society, and the American Diabetes Association to name but a few.

For 79 years she called Shawnee, Kansas home until the passing of her youngest child, Debbie Price, in 2010. She was proud to call Linetree, Highlands Ranch and Castle Rock her home after moving here in 2011.

Jane is survived by her son, Stephen Coover, and wife, Debbie, of Sanford, Florida and daughter Michelle Taggart, and husband, Terry, of Castle Rock, Colorado.

Jane has five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her grandchildren are Ashley Coover-Cordeau and husband, Matt, of Richmond, California; Philip Coover and wife, Stacy Mach, of St. Petersburg, Florida; Kyle Taggart and wife, Kara, of Castle Rock; Kristin Butterfield and husband, Brad, of Elizabeth; and Kaitlyn Taggart of Calahan. Great grandchildren are Bradley, Elsie, and Nolan Butterfield and Skylar Coover.

She is survived by her sister, Sue Beal, of Lawrence, Kansas and her brother, William Reeder and his wife, Karen, of Joplin, Missouri.
