

She was born in Aurora, Colorado on October 8, 1977. Janessa graduated from Cambridge College with a Medical Assistant certificate. She held a career in medical assisting and office management, spending the entirety of her career with Hughes Medical Consulting until 2012 when she retired early. While proud of her career, Janessa found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother.
Janessa overcame a challenging childhood with remarkable resilience and a desire to triumph over her trials by tapping into a resolute strength. She passed this courage and determination on to her children and grandchildren, who were paramount in her world. Protective, guiding, inspiring and always ready to listen with a compassionate ear, ensured her children experienced a warm and caring upbringing.
Despite health challenges later in life, Janessa lived every day with optimism and purpose. She turned her limitations into strengths, channeling her creativity into hobbies. She built a large Instagram following and began using the platform as a supportive space for those with their own health struggles. Janessa aimed to inspire and uplift, showing that disabilities need not diminish the joy and fulfillment of life.
Janessa is survived by her loving husband Vince; her three children Christina, Andrew, and Aidan; her three grandchildren, Simon, Ramona, and Emmett; and her faithful dog Kona. She is also remembered by her mother-in-law-mom Cherie, her sister-mom Tracy, her aunt-mom Jessie, and her best friends Maria, Amy, and Vanessa; and her guardian angel Cardi B, as well as her siblings Daniel and Robin.
Janessa’s generosity extends beyond her passing with two individuals now enjoying renewed life through her gifts. Her liver was successfully donated to one recipient and her heart now beats strong in another.
Janessa is also survived by her legacy. Those closest to her will carry her memory in their hearts, remembering more than anything that she always loved big and loved with all she had, leaving those closest forever better for having had Janessa in their lives.
Family and friends may pay their respects and spend time with Janessa from 9:00am-5:00pm on Monday, January 13, 2025 to Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
