

Glenna Jean Willard, age 100, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Legacy Village of Castle Pines, Colorado. Prior to this she was a 30-year resident of Heather Gardens in Aurora, Colorado.
Jean was born November 7, 1923 to Gladys and Lynn Shuman in Lyon Township, Oakland County, Michigan. She grew up on the 80 acre family farm and graduated from New Hudson High School in 1941.
Jean married the love of her life, Keith Willard on January 19, 1946 after he returned from serving in WWII. While he was serving, Jean went to work in California at Howard Hughes aircraft factory. In January of 1948 they welcomed home their daughter, Ann.
Jean and Keith spent many years RV traveling in the United States and enjoyed the memories of those travels. She was always curious and open-minded. She enjoyed Active Minds presentations, baseball, politics, reading, current events, and chocolate. Both Jean and Keith were members of Grace United Methodist Church in Denver.
Her loving husband of 66 years, Keith Willard, and daughter Ann Willard preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Kathryn (Shuman) Jones, and Dorothy (Shuman) Dempsey.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Robert F. Jones, Neil H. Jones and his wife Joanne, Mary Kline and her husband Dennis, Carolyn Jones and her husband John, and Jim Dempsey and his wife Bertie, along with a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jean cherished her friendships at Heather Gardens and also spending time with her daughter's friends who were frequent visitors.

Jean has requested cremation and no immediate services. At a later date both Jean and Keith will be inurned at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, honoring Keith's World War II service.
