Joel is survived by his mother and stepfather, Teresa and Wayne James and his father Walt Miga; his sister Leanna Apple and husband Dennie; his brother Jessie and wife Victoria James; his brother Titus and wife Hannah James; his Aunt Debbie and husband Loren Tepper; his cousins Tim and Cody Tepper, and Danielle Johnson; and fives nieces and nephews.
Joel had the biggest heart. He was kind, compassionate, caring, smart, hard working, courageous, talented and loving. He was always willing to help a friend at the drop of a hat. Yes, he loved his “HAT” hat. If you were blessed to know him then you know that.
Joel was very adventurous and loved exploring new places. Southwest Airlines was the perfect job for him to be able to travel and he greatly enjoyed working with his fellow coworkers. He loved living life to the fullest and traveled as often as he could. He loved playing golf, especially with his Southwest friends. He played golf, baseball, archery, and tennis in high school. He made it to the Arkansas state tennis tournament. He also played trombone in the school band and made first chair in competition. He was very musically inclined and could play any song on his guitar by ear. He loved trying new foods, he loved to cook, play video games, go bowling, go to concerts, sporting events, and hang out with his friends and family as much as possible. Joel also loved a good joke and had a great sense of humor. Again, “HAT”. Joel is deeply loved and will be incredibly missed by so many people. His memory will live in our hearts forever.
I love you forever, I’ll miss you for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be.
