Kennan Joseph Walsh

Kennan Joseph Walsh of Castle Rock, Colorado passed away on July 13, 2017 after 57 years of a life well spent. Born in Gary, Indiana to Jerome and Dolores (Krasnichan) Walsh, Ken graduated from Munster High School, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Manchester University, followed by a Master of Science in Business Administration at Indiana University. In 1982 Ken married the love of his life, Vickie (Clark), with whom he raised their five children, Kennan John, Shawn Jerome, Adam Clark, Shaelynn Elizabeth, and Jennifer Christine, predominantly in Northwest Indiana.

In Ken, you could find someone with an amazing sense of humor who was always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed any moment he could spend outdoors, especially in the mountains, working on various home renovation projects, and rooting on the Chicago Cubs, all usually with a craft brew in hand. His loyalty was unmatched, and he loved and cared for his family in every moment.

The impact Ken had on his friends and family will never be diminished. He will be dearly remembered by his wife and best friend of 35 years, Vickie, his sons Kennan, with wife Samantha, Shawn, with wife Chella, Adam, with wife Marianna, and daughters Shaelynn and Jennifer, as well as his sister Patricia Bessigano, parents-in-law Patricia and Jack Clark, brother-in-law John with wife Liz Clark, and many loving nephews, extended family, and friends. Ken was predeceased by his mother and father Dolores and Jerome.

Ken's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 19th in Castle Rock, Colorado in a private event for family. In lieu of flowers, those who are interested can contact Marianna Walsh ([email protected], 720-235-6389) to contribute to Aspen trees that will be planted on the family mountain property.
