

Kennith was born on September 22, 1944 in Colorado Springs, Colorado the son of Roy Hugh and Esther Viola (VanDyke) Lacey. A native of Colorado, and owner of C & K of Fountain, Inc, for more than 20 years, Ken retired in 2003 to enjoy life as a retired highway contractor. He enjoyed his retirement with his loving wife of 33 years in Pottsboro, Texas. Ken married Mary Katherine on February 3rd, 1978, in their home in Fountain, Colorado, where they combined their families and raised their children for more than 30 years. He was a loving father and step-father to six children, grandfather to twelve, and great-grandfather to three. Ken enjoyed the outdoors, spending most of his free time hunting and fishing or just working on various projects. He loved spending time in the summer with his grandchildren who would visit him in Texas, taking them swimming at the local pool, and fishing on the lake. Many times, you could find him enjoying the warm weather out on the patio with a glass of iced tea and bantering with his friends and neighbors. Ken was a man with many skills and talents, owning several businesses in his lifetime. He was a very tenacious man, grabbing life by the horns and seizing every opportunity to better his life and that of his family. Ken touched the lives of many people, and he will be greatly missed.
Kennith is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine (Manzanares) Lacey, children; Cyndy (Jesse) Lacey-Castillo, Kenneth Lacey, Tom (Terri) Aguero, Edward Aguero, Justine Abila, and Clint Lacey. Grandchildren; Emily Aguero, Jacob Aguero, Delia Abila, Bekah Aguero, Colt Lacey, Chanci Ann Lacey, Cassidy Anne Thompson, Kelsey Harbert, Tristen Lacey, Gunner Lacey, Jonathan (Tellina) Leger, Darius Leger, Kylee Leger and Dalton Leger.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 5PM - 7 PM at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home, Castle Rock, Colorado with Funeral Services to be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Mountain View Mortuary, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A reception for Friends and Family will immediately follow the Funeral Service at the Mountain View Mortuary, with interment at Fairview Cemetery also in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Pallbearers for Ken's services will be, Thomas Aguero, Edward Aguero, Jonathan Leger, Jacob Aguero, Kenneth Lacey, Jim Perrino, Dean Vargas and Luke Vargas, Honorary Pallbearers will be, Tristen Lacey, Gunner Lacey, Coy Perrino, Tony Perrino and Jesse Castillo.
