

Kevin Patrick Yancey was born to Jerry and Betty Yancey in Beaumont, Texas on June 11, 1955. He graduated from Dickenson High School in 1973 before attending Stephen F. Austin University, where he was a member of the KA fraternity. He moved back to the Beaumont area and started working at a local chemical plant. After a few years, he met Janice and they were married in 1983. They raised two daughters, Belinda and Jennifer. Through the years, Kevin enjoyed snow skiing, scuba diving, fishing, hunting, and many other activities. He loved entertaining and cooking for friends and family.
After retirement, Kevin and Janice moved to Colorado to enjoy the mountains, scenery and wildlife.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Janice; daughter, Belinda (Jeremy) Battenfield of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter, Jennifer (Adam) Cox of Atlanta, Texas; five grandchildren; Cody (Taylor) Battenfield of Manhattan, Kansas, Kiera Battenfield of Edmond, Oklahoma, Luke, James, and Olivia Cox of Atlanta, Texas; one great-granddaughter, Kaely Battenfield of Manhattan, Kansas; aunts, Diane Denman and Debby Ratliff of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity.
A celebration of life will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Pine Street in Beaumont, Texas on Saturday, July 30th at 2pm.
