Linda Carol (McMeachin) Fogel

She was born the youngest of three children to Robert and Pauline McMeachin on April 29, 1947, in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from Southwest High School in 1965, she worked for Kansas City Life Insurance Company. In 1967, she married Terry Burt. They had two children, Michelle and Justin, and later divorced.

Linda attended a gathering of 1964 and 1965 Southwest High School graduates in 1977 at a Westport bar in Kansas City. There she ran into Guy Fogel, and as they say, "the rest is history." They moved to Colorado in 1980 and were married in Las Vegas in 1981.

They remained in Colorado from 1980 to 2016, then moved to Florida. But after five hurricanes in six years and COVID-19, they moved back to Colorado in 2023. Linda enjoyed skiing, golfing, traveling, and riding her horses. She designed and built four houses. She loved vacationing in Tryall, Jamaica and drinking gin & tonics in the evenings. She never left the house until her hair, makeup, and clothes were perfect. Linda and Guy were married 45 years — not bad for second marriages!

She is survived by her husband, Guy; children: Michelle, Baird, Justin and Dawn; and three grandchildren: Austin, Avery and Sawyer.
