Mark met Pamela on May 8, 1999, at Katlin’s birthday party by the apartment pool. Pamela was excited when she saw him. As they got to talking that night, they realized that just a week earlier, Mark had been in her insurance office, buying coverage for his business. Small world!
They tied the knot on May 10, 2003, after asking their families for their blessing. Their kids made up the bridal party, which made the day even more special. From that point on, they shared 22 happy years together, building a life full of love and laughter.
Mark was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved hitting the golf course. He could sing every word to every Rolling Stones song, and he really enjoyed taking the family out to Bandimere Speedway. He also had a thing for old Corvettes—he even owned one for a little while. Eventually, he told Pamela she could sell it... and she did, way faster than he expected! Mark was always there to watch his son’s football games and wrestling matches, never missing a chance to cheer them on from the sidelines. He loved spending time with his grandkids, and loved getting to watch his grandson JJ play football. All the grandkids called him "Papa Dawg," and it always brought a smile to his face.
But more than anything, Mark loved just being home. He was happiest sitting on the porch with Pamela with an IPA in hand, listening to the birds in their backyard, watching their American flag fly, and soaking up the peace of being together.
Mark is survived by his wife, Pamela Horan; his son Zachary Horan; his son Gannon Horan (Sammy); his son Jeramie Green (April); and his daughter Katlin Begler (Tim); his mother Dolores A Horan; his brother Kevin Horan (Terry), his sister Kathy Horan, his sister-in-law Lisa Lyon-Johnson and his brother-in-law Greg Lyon (Jennifer Sales); his granddaughter Rae Green, his grandson Levi Green, his grandson Jacoby Horan, his granddaughter Winter Horan and a soon to be granddaughter in the Green family.
