

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Rachel Marie Hoffman, went to her heavenly home on Oct 10, 2024, after an illness, she was 88. Rachel was a faithful Christian woman, who loved her Lord, her family, extended family and her church.
Rachel raised four children, and is survived by Rondi (65), Randy (63) Richard (59) and Rochelle (49). Rachel was the Grandmother to 10 Grandchildren and great grandmother to 8 great grandchildren. She so loved each and every one of them.
Rachel was born in Madison, WI on Jan 10, 1936. To Tollef and Anna Tollefson. She had 2 sisters Ellen, Ruth, and a brother Leif. Rachel was the only child in her family born in the United States. The Tollefson’s migrated, from Norway. Rachel was preceded in Death by her Father, Mother, Ellen, Ruth and brother Naval Captain Leif.
Rachel grew up in Madison Wisconsin and graduated from Madison East High School in the Class of 1953. Rachel went on to be a homemaker until Rochelle, her youngest child became an adult. Rachel went on to a be C-Level Executive Assistant in an investment firm in the Denver area. Rachel was actively involved in her church being involved in Bible Study and Prayer groups. She enjoyed being a Pianist, and singing in the church choir. Rachel also enjoyed donating her time helping abused young mothers, teaching them life skills.
Rachel enjoyed her many vacations in the summers to Bemidji, MN. She loved hanging out at the lake with her nephew Jon and Anne-Judine and her Nieces Mary, Kirsten and Nephew Peter. She loved being with them at the lake house.
Rachel was renowned for her “Praying” for everyone and every situation! Rachel believed in the Holy Trinity. One of her favorite verses was 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18,
Rejoice Always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Jesus Christ for you.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to a charity near and dear to Rachel's heart, Bridge of Hope. At one time, Rachel was a mentor to young single mothers and she used her knitting skills to make baby blankets for them.
