Robert Allen Exum

Bob is survived by his wife Leanne, their four children and seven grandchildren; Amanda (Mike), Eric (Ashley, children: Briella, Kinzlee, Ryker, and Everly), Julia (Jake, children: Skyler and Daniel), Thomas (Daniella, children: Azalea). He is also survived by his mother Patricia (U. Bob), Mother-in-law Barbara (Kenny), sister Susan (Mike), and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was born in Denver, Colorado, on February 21, 1963 to parents Frank Allen Exum and Patricia Jean Conroy. He graduated from the Lowell Whiteman School and attended Fort Lewis College. He met and married his best friend and love of his life, Leanne Marie Rizor in 2000 and together they built a beautiful 21-year marriage, and a family filled with endless love and priceless memories.

As a proud Colorado native, Bob was an outdoor enthusiast, especially when it came to skiing, hiking, and grilling outdoors with friends and family. He was a jack of all trades and had a knack for fixing and building anything. He was known for going above and beyond to help those he loved or anyone in need. His laugh was absolutely contagious and his smile could light up any room.

Of all the passions in Bob’s life, nothing was greater than the love and devotion he had for his family. He was an incredible husband, father, and grandfather who put everyone before himself. Spending quality time with those he loved was his absolute favorite pastime.

Bob worked in the engineering world, in numerous capacities, throughout his life, most recently in radio and digital audio content. Bob was the Director of Engineering, where he managed the technical operations team for the largest audio content producer in America. From the Super Bowl to talk shows, he managed a team that delivered nation-wide audio programming. He was someone that was impeccable with fine details and fantastic with people and building relationships.

He was truly a one-of-a-kind and will be greatly missed by all.

Bob is preceded in death by his father Frank A. Exum and his father-in-law Kenneth Rizor.

A memorial service for Robert will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Plum Creek Church, 960 I-25, Castle Rock, CO 80104.
