Robert Hunter Voit, born on January 5, 1940, to Howard and Ella Voit, recently passed away just days before his 86th birthday. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who touched the lives of many.
Robert was the beloved husband of Sandra Voit and, later, Pamela Haugen Voit, both of whom he dearly loved throughout his life. He was a caring father to Derek Voit and Lisa Voit and a loving stepfather to David Kraft and Margee Sly (née Kraft). His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Grant, Tyler, Justin, and Brandon Sly, as well as his cherished great-grandchildren, Arianna, Sadie, Eli, Lily, Catherine, and John Blake Sly.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Robert served aboard the USS Intrepid. After his service, he attended Slippery Rock University in Grove City, PA, where he furthered his education. Robert became an entrepreneur and finance manager, demonstrating a strong work ethic and leadership throughout his career. Beyond his professional achievements, he was an avid horseman and outdoorsman, with a profound love for animals and nature.
Robert will be remembered for his kind spirit, adventurous soul, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His laughter filled us all with joy, and his compassion and warmth will be missed.
Robert will be buried at Logan National Cemetery alongside Pamela Voit. A celebration of his life will be held at the Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel in Castle Rock on February 15, 2026, at 3:00 P.M.
Rest in peace, Robert. You will be dearly missed.
