Roy was a loving son, brother and uncle. He attended grade school at Petersburg School in Oklahoma and had an amazing family unit comprised of extended family and friends, who loved him and stood by him.
Roy was an avid lover of John Deere, even purchasing a tractor to help with his yard work. He collected John Deere items and will be laid to rest with his favorite John Deere hard hats, tractor and trailer figurine. He enjoyed classic jazz, 60's and 70's Rock & Roll. Roy was known by his friends and family as a mountain man. He loved to go hunting with the boys at Sherman Camp in Craig, CO and above all else loved his dogs, who he considered to be his children.
He worked for his long time friend, Joan, doing maintenance at an apartment complex. He was a jack-of-all trades and was able to help with just about everything that needed fixing.
A graveside service for Roy will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bear Cañon Cemetery, 435 CO-105, Sedalia, CO 80135.
Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.
It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here's a happy one for you.
Happy trails to you,
Until we meet again.
Happy trails to you,
Keep smiling until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song, and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you,
Until we meet again.
