Vonnie Hoffmeyer

Vonnie Hoffmeyer, 79, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 23, 1946, in Williston, North Dakota, Vonnie lived a full and joyful life defined by adventure, deep love for her family, and a zest for life’s simple pleasures.

Vonnie had a deep affection for the outdoors and made unforgettable memories on the waters of Lake Powell, her favorite place to visit. She found joy exploring nature, whether it was riding ATVs through the red rock canyons of Moab, Utah, or fulfilling a lifelong dream of visiting Africa, where she was especially moved by seeing elephants up close. Chocolate was her constant companion—never far from reach and always enjoyed with a smile.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Barry Hoffmeyer; her son Ryan Hoffmeyer, her daughter Jodi Alborghetti and son-in-law Boston Alborghetti; and her beloved grandchildren, Cameron Robles, Caitlyn Alborghetti, and Cayden Alborghetti. Vonnie’s warmth, sense of adventure, and kind spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of Vonnie’s life will be held on June 7 2025, details to come.
