Wilbert Kalervo Juntunen

Wilbert Kalvero Juntunen,“Will”, a resident of Castle Rock, CO, went home to the loving arms of our Lord on August 29, 2014. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and husband to his late wife, Mary, for almost fifty years.

Will was born on February 16, 1920 in Calumet, MI. He graduated in 1938 from Calumet High School and went on to serve in the National Guard and the U.S. Army throughout WWII in the European theater.

Will married Mary on January 11, 1943. They were blessed with five children, four of which survive today.

Will is survived by his four children; Ken and wife Jeanette of Pleasanton, CA, Barbara and husband Harry of Windsor, CO, Susan of Farmington, NM, and Karen of Castle Rock, CO. Will is also survived by his sister, Ruth, of St. Petersburg, FL.

Also remembering their Grandfather are nine grandchildren, Cindy, Vicky, Debbie, Dan, Rob, Shelli, Jennifer, Brett and Cody. Great-grandchildren include Donny, Justin, Jeremie, Anthony, Savanna, Jena, Dylan, Spencer, Cade and Abby, and Great-great-grandchildren, Madison, Audrey and Justin Jr.

Preceding Will in death are his wife Mary, daughter Linda, son-in-law Rick, great-great-grandson Brandon, and 12 brothers and sisters, Charles, Edward, Aileen, Walfred, Helvie, Elsie, John, Sylvia, Martha, Gladys, Carl, and Florence.

Visitation will be at Olinger’s Mortuary from 5 – 7 pm on September 2, 2014, funeral service at Faith Lutheran Church at 2 pm on September 3, 2014, and graveside service and interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL at 2 pm on September 5, 2014.
