Robert Zane Wilson passed away unexpectedly in a traffic accident on May 25, 2024 in Castle Rock. Zane was born on December 13, 2004 in Denver, Colorado, and is the youngest child of Robert Seth Wilson and Airon Lou Wilson and is a little brother to Zoey and Ava Wilson.
Zane was a 2023 graduate of Elbert High School where he was an all-state honorable mention football player. He grew up playing football and sports and was coached by his dad since the age of six. Outside of football, Zane loved riding dirt bikes, shooting guns, and spending time camping outdoors with his family and loved ones. Zane had a sweet love for animals and over the years brought home six dogs and several cats to join the Wilson family. Zane had an awesome sense of humor and will be fondly remembered for his genuine heart, his wisdom beyond his years, and always standing up for the underdog.
In Zane’s time with us, he impacted so many people, but his immediate legacy includes his parents Robert Seth and Airon Lou Wilson; his sisters Ava Lou Wilson, Zoey Wilson and Zoey’s fiancée Tristin Brittin and his beloved niece CeCe Brittin.
He will be remembered by his high school sweetheart, Aubri Landavazo. His grandparents Nanna and Buzz Wiepking, Grandma Sally, and Papa Brent; his aunts and uncles Cyrus Schoonover and Heather Sloan, and Nikki Schoolcraft, Scott and Cheri Wiepking, Max Wiepking and fiancé Caroline, and his seven cousins.
To have known Zane was to love him.
A celebration of his life will be held for Zane on Sunday, June 2nd at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel (407 Jerry St. Castle Rock, CO 80104) from 2:00-4:00 PM. To honor Zane, his family wishes for this gathering to be comfortable and casual, as an opportunity to share fond memories and stories of Zane’s 19 years of life.
