Suddenly and unexpectedly on December 10, 2023 David Vincent DiLeo passed away from a cardiac event while making his way to the Ravens football game. David better known as "Ralph" where he worked at the H&H Outdoors store formerly located on Fayette St. currently on Harford Rd. He retired from H&H several weeks ago, not nearly long enough to reap the rewards of his labor. Dave was a friend to so many; a trusted resource for bear spray, flashlights and fire extinguishers. He had the inside scoop on the outdoor world and was always giving the latest and greatest survival gear to family and friends. Dave enjoyed fishing on the Chesapeake Bay; he played competitive pool and was anxious to one day compete in Vegas. On his last best day he was surrounded by those who loved him. David is predeceased by his parents Vincent and Dahlia (Sue) DiLeo (nee Fedeli). He is survived by his treasured Aunt and Uncle retired Colonel Dennis and Mrs. Dolores O'Malley (nee DiLeo); his brother Michael and his wife Carrie Smith and their children Vincent and his wife Megan, Dominic and Sierra; his brother Paul and his wife Sandy and their children Samantha and Sophia, and his sister Nancy for whom he schlepped more Christmas bags and outdoor furniture in and out of the shed year after year than one can count. No words can describe our loss or our love for him.
A visitation for David will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228, followed by a prayer service at 6:00 PM. Everyone is invited to a reception after the service.
In lieu of flowers please remember Dave in your own special way.
Interment will be private.
