Guenter Herbert Otto Goehring

On July 30, 2024; Guenter Herbert Otto Goehring sadly left us at the age of 95. He was born in Darmstadt, Germany on June 17, 1929. He is the beloved husband of the late Iris Goehring (Garrett); loving father of Denise Buchanan (Jim), Kim Brady, Lori Lancaster (Tom), and the late Dawn Goehring; devoted grandfather of Rachael Johnson (Joe), Grady Buchanan, Ian Buchanan, Marlee Lancaster, and Elise Lancaster; cherished great grandfather of Lily, Layla, and the late Iris. Guenter is preceded in death by his siblings Willy and Hilmer Goehring and Gertrude Buell.

His passion for mechanics led him to a successful auto repair family business. He excelled as a drag racer and a race car crew chief. His hands and mind worked in unison to build some of the finest car engines. Beyond his professional achievements he was known for his generous spirit and his willingness to lend a helping hand. He always had time for everyone sharing his knowledge, offering support and spreading joy. Guenter was a talented pianist whose music was appreciated and loved by all. He will be dearly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held 2PM, Sunday, August 4 at Zion Church of the City of Baltimore, 400 E. Lexington Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.
