Margaret "Peggy" Ann Thomas

Margaret “Peggy”Ann Thomas passed away on March 21, 2026, at the age of 91. Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Robert A Thomas Sr; her siblings, George (Helen), Elizabeth (Francis), Paul (Joan), and Norma (Anthony); and her daughter in law, Judy. She is survived by her sons, Robert Jr, Kevin (Jane), and Brian (Robbin); her brother in law, Herbert (Doris); her grandchildren, Ashley (Charles), Kyle, Jake, Chelsea, and Matthew; her great grandson, Theodore; plus 19 nieces/nephews, and related grand nieces/nephews.

Peggy graduated from Catholic High School in 1952. She became a Registered Nurse upon completing the Mercy Hospital Nursing School program in 1955. Peggy worked as a RN in the pediatric wards of Mercy Hospital and Bon Secours Hospital. After becoming a mother in the 1960’s, she served as a volunteer substitute school nurse and chair of the PTA Health Committee at Edmondson Heights Elementary School. Around her 80th birthday, Peggy let her volunteer nursing license expire. She is remembered on the Maryland Nurse Honor Guard Memorial Wall.

Peggy served as a Den Mother when her sons were in Cub Scouts. Over the years, she was a member of several weekly duckpin bowling league teams until her health declined. Peggy also participated in various activities while a resident of the Charlestown Retirement Community.

Visitation will be held at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, 1630 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228, on Friday March 27, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A visitation Saturday March 28 10:30 at Our Lady of The Angels Chapel in Charlestown, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association.
