Mary Ellen Peters

Mary Ellen Peters, age 89, of Ellicott City, Maryland passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022. Born August 8, 1932, she had a distinguished career with the Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore Office, after working for C & P Telephone. She was a devout Catholic, an avid skier, doll-house builder, and artist. She was an accomplished horsewoman and enjoyed many years riding Fearless and Pawnee. Preceded in death by her parents Charles K. and Ellen Avery Peters and by her brother Charles K. Peters, Je., D.D.S., she is survived by her loving sisters, Anne Peters Sullivan, and Virginia Irene Stalter, as well as many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Over the years, she generously remembered their birthdays, and provided a "green egg" award to spur achievement in school by all the nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mary Ellen will be held Monday, June 20, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228. A visitation will occur Monday, June 20, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 1630 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21042.
