

He was a 1955 graduate of Catonsville High School. He was a member of the class of 1959 at Johns Hopkins University. He received a BS in Civil Engineering. During his years at Hopkins, he was a member of the lacrosse and soccer teams. His freshman lacrosse team was undefeated. The varsity team lost only one game in three years. The lacrosse team went to Europe during the summer of 1958 to play teams in England and Scotland.
In September, 1959 Mr. Leasure married his high school sweetheart, the former Joyce E. Wolfe.
He was in ROTC at Hopkins and served two years in field artillery in the Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Berlin crisis. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain in 1962.
Mr. Leasure worked at Koppers in the Piston Ring and Seal Division from 1962 until 1986. He was a Manufacturing Manager. He worked at Complete Building Services as a sales representative from 1986 until 1989. The last eleven years of his career he worked for Harley-Davidson in York, PA. He retired February 1, 2000.
Mr. Leasure enjoyed sailing, skiing, woodworking, traveling, and fishing.
Besides his wife of 50 years, he is survived by his son, Richard D. and his daughter, Michele L. His sister, Joan Schuder, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Georgia and Gordon Wells also survive him.

A funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday, 11AM at Christ Lutheran Church; 5700 Edmondson Avenue; Catonsville, MD 21228. Interment is private.
